Liberal Democrats can win in Mid Sussex!
At the 2005 general election Nicholas Soames won with a majority of less than 6000 votes.
The Lib Dems are now on their highest poll ratings for 104 years.
Serena Tierney, is working hard to continue her record of action for people across Mid Sussex. Serena has recently been heavily involved in campaigns to protect the Princess Royal Hospital from cuts, get a better deal for local rail users, keep our post offices open, and to reverse the District Council’s unpopular and damaging parking charge increases.
Serena lives in Cuckfield at the heart of Mid Sussex. She has one daughter and two teenage stepsons. Serena is committed to becoming the full time MP that Mid Sussex needs after the years of neglect and failure our Conservative councillors and MP. If elected she will build on a track record of standing up for local people on the issues that matter to them.
The next General Election in Mid Sussex will be a straight fight between Serena and the Conservatives. Labour are out of the race and are expected to finish a distant third. In June’s County Council elections the Liberal Democrats gained seats from the Conservatives in Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and Haywards Heath, while Labour failed even to come second in any seat.
